On correct syllogisms of the main variant of Imaginary logic of N.A. Vasiliev

Abstract

The article studies the main version of the world-famous Imaginary Logic, the first non-classical logical theory proposed by the Russian scientist N.A. Vasiliev. For this theory, T.P. Kostyuk and V.I. Markin proposed a reconstruction carried out by means of modern logic. Within the proposed semantics, a special role of the excluding forms of statements was analyzed. It allows us significantly expand the understanding of the correct (special kind) modes of the syllogism, the conclusions of which is one of the excluding forms. All the correct syllogisms in the given semantics (identified earlier by Vasiliev) were studied thoroughly . There was made an analysis of the figure IV in the imaginary logic, which hadn’t been studied previously in the main version as well as correct syllogisms in that figure were semantically substantiated. A semantic version of the refutation of all incorrect modes is presented by selecting counter modes.
